Agriculture Museum

The ancient Egyptian civilization was based on agriculture.

Through old and modern history agriculture remained an important element in its economy, culture and style of living.

For  that  reason, the agricultural museum was established in the days of king Fouad in 1929 to provide agricultural and economic information and to record the history of Egyptian agriculture from the pre-historic eras to the modern era. It was opened officially on January 16,1938 .

The museum is 30 Feddans in area and went through development and many new departments have been established since it was opened to the public.

·        The museum displaying the scientific collections.

·        The museum displaying different plants.

·        The new museum of ancient Egyptian agriculture

(pre- historic era to the end of the Pharaonic era)

·        The museum displaying the old Egyptian agriculture (the Greek, roman, Coptic , and Islamic eras)

·        The museum of the Arab hall.

·        The museum of art possessions.

·        The museum of environment.

Museum under construction:

·        Museum of agricultural tools and equipment in the old and modern times.

·        Museum of the development of the Egyptian bread through history.

·        The museum of mummification.

·        The new museum of cotton.

·        The new museum is considered a city for specialized agricultural museums in addition to its large garden that has tree and plants.
